As they themselves say, FC Barcelona is more than a club. Since 1899, they've evolved from a neighborhood team to a global institution capable of influencing both on and off the field.
And that ambition is also evident in their brand strategy: UNICEF, Nike, Spotify, Marvel... If there's one thing the Blaugranas know how to do , it's play in every league and win.
Today we put on the fashion t-shirt to review some of FC Barcelona's most notable collaborations , focused on style and streetwear.
How Barça got into the world of streetwear
This isn't a passing fad or a reaction to the latest trends. While other teams have begun to flirt with streetwear in recent years, Barça has long understood that football is also played out in culture.
From haute couture to streetwear , including the Motomami universe , the club has become an icon capable of connecting with fashion while still being a football club. If they ever decided to compete with big brands, more than one would have to worry... but luckily, their thing is still football.
Of course, they're not short of merit: they've been working with Nike for over 27 years. Messi was only 11 years old when the relationship began. And since then, they've been constantly injecting themselves into the conversation where sport, style, and pop culture intersect.
The collaborations that marked style
Here we're not going to focus on designers or collaborations that have dressed the team, although we love the collaboration with the Rolling Stones, with Thom Browne or with Patta, here we're going to focus on those collaborations that have come out focused on being dressed by the culés.
- Nike SB Dunk Low “Catalunya” (2021)
Inspired by the colors of Barça and the Catalan flag, these Dunks were released under the Nike SB line. Although they didn't feature the official Barça crest, the entire design paid homage to the club. They were highly coveted in the sneaker world and are now a collector's item.
- Nike Air Max Plus x FC Barcelona (2023)
Official sneakers with Barça's colors and the crest on the heel. Part of a lifestyle collection that also included urban clothing. They were released in limited quantities and were very well received by fans and sneakerheads.
- Patta x Barça (2023)
A streetwear collaboration with Dutch brand Patta included apparel and, unofficially to the public, customized Nike Air Max 1s with a Barça aesthetic. The sneakers circulated only among players and content creators, becoming rare pieces.
-Nike x Barça – Capsule collections (various years)
Nike has launched collections featuring items such as backpacks, caps, sweatshirts, and jackets with an urban aesthetic, a departure from the classic sportswear look. Many pieces are inspired by Camp Nou, La Masia, and the spirit of Barcelona.
Collaboration with Messi
Although Messi is no longer part of the club, it's impossible to talk about Barça without his name coming up. The bond remains alive , and so does the mutual affection. So much so that La Pulga 's influence has been so great that he's managed to single-handedly launch collaborations , like this one we couldn't leave out of the article: the Adidas Samba Inter Miami CF Messi Black .
The Samba has been a classic for decades, but this special edition, signed by Messi , maintains the iconic silhouette, but with that black and pink combo that screams "Messi is here" without even needing to be said.

The black suede upper and pale pink 3-Stripes are a pure, elegant contrast. And yes, it's still a Samba: lightweight, comfortable , with a classic rubber sole, and perfect for everyday wear. But this version has something more. That collector's touch that only a well-crafted collaboration can give you.
