Adidas Samba OG Cloud White

When someone says Samba, this is almost always the one they mean: the Adidas Samba OG Cloud White, style code B75806, the core black and white, the one adidas keeps year after year and the starting point for all the others. A look at the materials explains why it is still around.

The upper is full-grain leather in Cloud White, the T-toe is nubuck and the serrated Three Stripes are black suede. Underneath, a gum rubber cupsole and an OrthoLite insole.

• Upper: full-grain leather
• Toe: nubuck
• Stripes: black suede
• Insole: OrthoLite
• Outsole: gum rubber cupsole
• Style code: B75806

Its origins lie in a 1950s football boot that bore the signature of Adi Dassler himself, and that flat, low profile is what has shaped trainer fashion in recent years.

It goes with everything, but some combinations never fail: straight blue jeans with a white tee and a track jacket, grey pleated trousers with a knit jumper, or vintage football shorts in summer.

After wearing, wipe the leather with a damp cloth; brush the suede stripes and nubuck toe dry.
