As we told you in previous posts, Newcop has opened its first store outside of Europe , in none other than Dubai. To celebrate, we've been organizing and participating in several events, but without a doubt the most important one has been bringing our favorite ambassador, Pep Guardiola, to Dubai.

The Esquire Middle East team wanted to organize a new event series under the theme ' In Conversation with...' and that's where we come in as contributors.
Although the event was called "In Conversation," it wasn't just in the name; it was a real conversation. Close and unfiltered, with someone who has not only won a lot, but thinks about every step you take.
The event took place on Marsa Boulevard , one of the most exclusive locations in the thriving city of the United Arab Emirates, and Esquire made an excellent selection of guests that mixed fashion, culture and sport.
Guardiola's conversation
Guardiola talked about football, yes, but also about leadership, perseverance, and how to build something big from the smallest things . There was no smoke and mirrors, just ideas. The kind that resonate with anyone who wants to do things right .
Throughout the conversation, Pep didn't use stock phrases or prepared speeches he'd brought from home. He spoke like someone who's been at the top for years, yet he remains grounded, analyzing every detail as if it were his first.
When asked what defines his career, he didn't hesitate: “constancy .” Just like that, no fuss. And then came the line that got everyone laughing: “Working at the richest clubs helps, but it’s no substitute for daily work.” There were also more personal moments. He recalled City's treble in 2023 as one of his greatest achievements, but he didn't hide the fact that this year has been tougher: "Football is like life, it goes in streaks," he said matter-of-factly.
Newcop as collaborators
This wasn't just any event, and for Newcop, it wasn't just another collaboration. We were there because we shared more than just a style with Pep: we shared a vision.
Guardiola wasn't just the guest of honor, he's also an ambassador for our brand , someone who embodies the values that drive us.During the event, he spent time greeting attendees before taking the stage. He was approachable, unhurried, like someone who knows that the important thing isn't to impress, but to connect.

That's why being part of this meeting was a natural fit. Because when it comes to stylish leadership, we want to be in the room . And if it's in Dubai, even better.
