On the Puma LaMelo Ball LaFrancé Gradient Black the colour is not split into blocks but blends: black shifts gradually to Cool Dark Gray along the length of the shoe. It is a subtle effect you notice up close, and it keeps a dark, chunky trainer from looking flat.

It came out in October 2024 as part of the LaFrancé line, LaMelo Ball's lifestyle model with Puma inspired by the chunky skate shoes of the 90s and 2000s. It keeps the soft midsole, the rubber outsole with Melo's messages and the LaFrancé logo.
